Insurance providers often dictate the type, frequency, and duration of treatment, and typically require extensive information about your care.
Therefore, I’ve chosen not to work with insurance companies in order to provide you the most personalized, confidential care. However, I will provide you with a superbill (detailed receipt) that you can submit to your insurance company.
-
I can provide a superbill you can submit to your insurance company of potential out-of-network reimbursement. Many clients receive partial reimbursement, though actual coverage varies by plan.
I recommend you contact your insurance company to see what out of network benefits you have for mental health treatment

In-person therapy may be preferable if you find it easier to focus and engage in a dedicated space away from home distractions, or if privacy concerns in your living situation make confidentiality difficult. Additionally, being physically present can enhance client-therapist rapport and improve attunement to nonverbal cues.
Telehealth may be a better fit if you have scheduling constraints, mobility limitations that make transportation difficult, or if you feel more comfortable opening up in your own environment.

Fill out the contact form here on the website, send me an email at katie.taves@fertilitypostpartumfl.com, or leave me a message at 754-205-1843. I aim to respond to inquiries within 24-hours (response time may be longer over weekends and holidays).
We will then schedule a complimentary 15-minute consultation call to determine if it’s a good fit to work together. This gives me a chance to hear about your goals and needs, and provides you a chance to ask any questions.
-
The length and duration varies based on individual goals and needs. Generally, weekly sessions are preferred as they provide the consistency and momentum needed to support progress. However, during the initial intake, we’ll determine an appropriate cadence.
Some clients work with me a few months to address specific concerns, while other engage in longer-term therapy for deeper exploration and growth.
We’ll check in regularly about your progress and adjust the frequency of sessions based on what’s working best for you and your goals.
-
The initial intake session lasts 60 minutes. We’ll take time to get to know each other and gather important background information. This typically includes discussing personal and family history, the current challenges that brought you to therapy, and your goals for our work together. We will go at your own pace and you can ask questions as needed.
-
I ask for 48-hours notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Since we have identified a slot each week that is yours, a time commitment is made to you. You will be responsible for the full session fee for no-shows or cancellation/reschedule requests with less than 48 hours notice.

Yes, as required by federal law, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of the expected costs of your therapy services. The information provided is only an estimate and is subject to change based on fee adjustments and/or your treatment needs. As a client, you will have access to the GFA in your client portal and any changes would also be discussed in session.
